Troop 76 Uniform Policies

Every Scout will be expected to demonstrate that they know what a full Class A uniform is and that they have all the required components. This includes: shirt with full insignia, Troop 76 neckerchief, scout pants or shorts with BSA belt, BSA socks hiking boots or shoes (no sneakers). No hat required.  As each Scout passes uniform inspection, they will be allowed to attend subsequent meetings in a "relaxed" Class A uniform. Scouts who do not pass uniform inspection will be required to attend subsequent meetings in Full Class A until they successfully pass inspection.

Scouts are expected to wear Class A uniforms (shirts and neckerchief) to all BSA meetings.  Shirts should be tucked in.  BSA pants/shorts are optional for regular troop meetings, but strongly recommended.  A full Class A uniform is REQUIRED for all Scoutmaster conferences, Board of Review, Court of Honor events. Class B uniform shirts (supplies/sizes are  limited) are available for purchase for $10 from the Troop.  These are often worn during summer camp and on our high adventure camping events. These can be purchased during troop meetings or at our upcoming Court of Honor. 

Gently used Class A uniform pieces are always welcome for exchange - and we have uniform items in inventory for your scout to borrow.  Please bring your scout's outgrown uniform pieces to contribute to our uniform exchange during our upcoming Court of Honor on Oct 5.  New uniform pieces or BSA handbooks are available for purchase at Joy of Movement in Ridgefield or Rankin's in Danbury (.http://www.troop76.org/where_to_find.htm) 

Scouts/scout parents are welcome to get Class B shirts or uniform items from our uniform exchange closet in our QM room during our Troop meetings.  Contact the Quartermaster or any ASM for assistance.
