Camp Sequassen 2025, Sunday, July 20th - Saturday, July 26th
Troop 76 at the
Baden Powell
Campground, Camp
Sequassen, near
Torrington,
Connecticut
For nearly 100 years, Scouts of all ages have come to Camp Sequassen for exciting summer adventures at the waterfront, on the trails, at the ranges and all across camp. From Shotgun to Astronomy, over 70 high-quality Merit Badges are offered in nine program areas! Each merit badge is taught by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff who ensure Scouts not only earn their merit badges but have fun while doing it. Merit badge sessions run in one hour blocks from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 3pm.
● Registration: Troop 76 Scouts must sign up by Tuesday, March 18th. Sign up here. We need enough participants to secure our Baden Powell campsite, one of the best locations in Sequassen.
● Payment: Early bird pricing is available until Tuesday, March 25th. Full payment is due by Tuesday, May 14th.
● Fees: The first week costs $650 ($625 for early bird), and siblings cost $600 ($575 for early bird).
a. Additional fees apply for special programs (see merit badges).
b. Troop 76 Group Photo ($15)
c. Join your scout at brunch on Saturday morning before the closing ceremonies. Brunch ($10 Adult, $5 Children). Pay only for family members only, not Scouts.
● Forms:
a. Troop 76 Camper Registration Information Form (hand in as soon as possible)
c. Merit Badge Selection Form and prerequisites. As soon as you submit payment and complete the initial forms, your Scout’s Merit Badge selections can be approved by the Scoutmaster and then entered into Sequassen's database. Merit Badge sessions are filled on a first come, first served basis, up to class sizes set by Sequassen. Inform Cathy Davis ASAP if your scout plans to sign up for a special program since additional paperwork is required! For example, Older Scout Adventure is an additional $50 and Lifeguarding is $150 more.
d. Required Medical Forms Please read and follow the directions on the medical forms and all addendums. There are portions that must be completed/signed by a doctor. Please see the Council Health Form Guide for more details, especially if your Scout has a complicated medical situation.
