                                   Information for Scout Parents

Parental involvement as a Troop 76 Volunteer is essential to the Troop's health as an effective organization.  There are a variety of roles an interested parent can perform.  If you like camping and the outdoors, you could be a Uniformed Adult Leader - Moms are as welcome as Dads, too!  Even if camping isn't a passion, you can still be a Uniformed Leader as not all Scouting experiences and learning takes place in the outdoor part of the Scouting Program.

If involvement in the Scouting Program isn't your thing, there's no shortage of other, more behind-the-scenes roles that are essential to the Troop's health including:

All Families in the Troop are expected to have at least one parent involved in some kind of volunteer role or the Troop.  If you're not doing something but want to help pay back the Troop for all the good it's doing and will do for your son, contact the Scoutmaster if your inclination is outdoorsy and/or the Troop Committee Chair if you'd like to contribute along an indoor pathway.
